The design process begins with a phone call, email conversation, or meeting where we’ll talk about your ideas, and needs. You can email me at [email protected] to set up a time and date to talk or meet.

Once we’ve talked, I will provide a price estimate which will include the following: an hourly estimate for how long your project will take, printing cost, supplies cost and shipping (if necessary). Simply Harvey charges $30 an hour which is comprised of the time it takes to design the product, printing, cutting, and assembling. Printing estimates will be provided by my local printing contact. 

Exact pricing for printing is determined after we determine how many invitations you need, along with color and total number of pages needed. Estimates will be available 3-5 days after we meet.

At this time, a $100 non-refundable deposit is due with your signed contract. This deposit with be subtracted from your final total. 

PLEASE NOTE: The estimates provided are subject to change, depending on the scope of the project. 

Within 2 weeks of the initial meeting, I will provide 3-4 designs. After we’ve discussed your initial feedback, I’ll start creating! I hand create everything and then send out digital versions for proofs, so revisions are easy to make.

Once your design is finished, I will have a digital proof ready for you to review within two weeks after you provide feedback on the designs. I’m happy to print proofs on different types or colors of paper as well. I will provide up to three rounds of revisions. After receiving your proofs we request that you please look them over and send them back to the designer with your corrections within a weeks’ time.

After everything is approved, I’ll send your project to be printed! I use a locally owned printer in Naperville for orders that are needed quickly and a outside vendor for larger orders that are placed with enough of a turnaround time. Local turnaround times vary depending upon the type of printing you choose; however, all products are generally ready within 2 to 3 weeks after printing. Before printing, your balance is due to Simply Harvey.

Designing invitations is a process. This means that each step is dependent on the completion of the previous step. Please remember this when reviewing and communicating about revisions. The more prompt you are with your feedback, the faster the process moves.

The whole process generally takes 3 weeks to a month to complete. Deadlines can be set at our discretion after the initial meeting. Keep in mind that invitations need to be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding, so please be sure to set aside ample time for invitations to be printed, addressed and assembled.
