The purpose of this collection of graphics is to better assist and guide a group of High School Special Education students towards the understanding of the structure of an atom. The original graphic is an image that was taken in class of the set of a lab activity created by Beakers and Ink. This graphic is visually depicting the set up for the activity that the students will be participating in. The collection of graphics are intended for a High School Chemistry class for students at Plainfield North High School in Plainfield, Illinois. There are two small group Chemistry classes that consist of 8-13 students all of which have Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) and different learning needs. In the 4th period class there are a total of 8 students, 3 girls and 5 boys and in the 5th period class there is a total of 13 students, 2 girls and 11 boys. The students who are enrolled in this class have different accommodations to meet their educational needs and as their teacher I differentiate my instruction to make sure all students are able to comprehend the material being taught. The content that this collection of graphics addresses is the structure of an atom.
